Really strange... working system with 6.4 some how now will not properly start io-display process.  Looking around I see
 a hosed up /dev, well there is no /dev "directory" but a /dev file with something like 000003DA hex sitting in it.  Is 
this a corrupt file system?  amazingly you can get to a text command prompt and the odd thing is that the disks show up,
 e.g., something like /dev/hd0 is out there....  any thoughts on this mystery?

Found this one, a user who will remain nameless was re-directing shell script output to /dev/null but included an extra 
space and so created the file /dev instead of using the device /dev/null.  This made QNX unhappy since, I guess, most 
devices then disappeared.... ;-)
