devnp-43xx - what devices does it support ?
Hi,

I can't find the source for devnp-43xx, and it is not listed in the hardware support database. devn-43xx is listed 3
times, with an incomplete list, but does not seem to be shipped in 6.4.1

I specifically need to know - do we have support in 6.4.1 for the BCM94321 (which includes draft N support, that is not
required by this customer) ? I see it in the devn-43xx source, but the equivalent Linux sources seem to comment it out..
.

Thanks

Dave

bcm43xx is NDA, so it's in trunk/sys/dev_nda
in the networking repository. We're not allowed
to give out source that we have signed an NDA for.

What is the DID of your card? What I would do
is look at the source to see if it recognizes
that DID or not.

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the reply. I cannot see dev_nda, so cannot see the source.
I suspect we've set permissions on it so almost no one can see it.

The dev ID of the device is, I believe, 0x4321. Can you tell me if that is supported, since I can't read the source
myself ?

It would be so much easier if the hardware database worked, like it is supposed to...

Thanks

Dave

Could be. Nothing our lawyers make us do any more
surprises me :)

Yup, detect.c lists that DID

Er, actually you can. Bring up a browser, VPN'd
into QNX. For the URL, manually type in just:

  svn

Under Indexer, click on internal_core_networking
and "Full Search" for

  bcm43xx

or maybe

  PCI_DEVICE_ID_BROADCOM_BCM4321

and it will brings up the files. I'm not sure if
it's supposed to work that way or not, but it does.

Excellent - your svn method works - thanks - very handy to be able to
find that. I was looking in the 'product' tree - silly me...

Cheers !
