Forum Topic - Can you turn off MDI-X in e1000 driver?: (4 Items)

Can you turn off MDI-X in e1000 driver?
We have weird hardware and the data sheet seems to say we can fix the issue by turning off MDI-X. I don't see MDI-X on/
off as a parameter to the driver.

Anyone have words of wisdom?

Thanks.

Looking at the e1000 driver, it looks as though MDI-X is turned off if you
set the speed and duplex on the command line.

Hugh:

Thanks for the quick response. So, Set the speed to 10 MBPS and Duplex to full when the driver is launched should turn
off MDI-X?
