How to install DEVNP-E1000.so?   
Hi guys,

Looking for some assistance; we have a PC that has an Intel 82579LM Network card, but QNX 6.5.0 does not seem to support
 this. 

I understand that QNX 6.5.0 SP1 does support this, however I have come across posts on this forum that "Hugh Brown" (who
 looks to be extremely helpful and knowledgable) has posted the devnp-e1000.so file which is appears to be the drivers 
for this network card.

I am wondering, what is the correct way to install/initialize this to get it fully working?

The driver should be copied to /lib/dll directory. If it isn¹t started
automatically at boot time, then you should run the following:

slay io-pkt-v4-hc dhcp.client
io-pkt-v4-hc -de1000
dhcp.client

I will try this out and let you know; one final question;

Is it acceptable to use the drivers from the post here;

Try using the driver from the X86BIOS bsp afaik it is the latest one.

It sounds as though you are running the driver with the wrong version of the O/S. What version of the O/S are you 
running?
