USB dongle alterntives
Hi,

I'm currently running QNX 6.3.0 on a WAFER-945GSE2 Single Board Computer. Currently I don't have networking as it is my
understanding that the Realtek RTL8111CP PCIe GbE Lan ports are not supported by 6.3.0? It seems like I should be able
to make it work with 6.4.1 and will therefor have to upgrade?

Futuremore, I would like to be able to have Wifi capabilites, and I was looking for USB Wifi dongle alternatives. Am I
correct in assuming that on 6.4.1 that will be possible? I've treid seaching for a comprehensive list of supported
chipsets, og available products I can use. If anyone could nudge me in the right direction, or give me some assistance
in the matter, it would be greatly appriciated.

I can only comment on the Realtek issue. There is no driver for this chipset
under 6.3.0, so yes, you will have to upgrade to support this chipset.

Re: USB dongle alterntives
Thanks for the replay, I have now updated, but I'm unable to connect to the internet.

"netstat -an" shows no active internet connections
"netstat -rn" Shows only 127.0.0.1 in the routing table
"nicinfo" Shows that packets are being received (this is an improvent from before)
Qnet initializes and I can find myself in /net (this is an improvent from before)

I guess I'm expecting too much for this to be plug and play, so what can I do to diagnose/rectify the problem? I'm a bit
new to the whole QNX world, so I'm sorry if there is an obvious solution.
Re: USB dongle alterntives
Ok, so I aquired a new SATA Hard Drive, and installed 6.4.1 on that. Now wiered networking is working perfectly, with no
modifications on my part! I have done no future testing as to why the problem presisted on the other harddrive.
