Ide4.6 - Cannot connect remote targets   
I'm using Win XP and 4.0.1, Build id: I20070321 and now I've installed also the  IDE 4.6 Build id I20090510 on same pc:

Version: 4.0.1, Build id: I20070321
QNX Installations 
  Installation Name: QNX Momentics Development Suite 6.3.2
            Version: 6.3.2
     Base Directory: d:/QNX632
         QNX_HOST: d:/QNX632/host/win32/x86
         QNX_TARGET: d:/QNX632/target/qnx6

  Installation Name: QNX Software Development Platform 6.4.1
            Version: 6.4.1
     Base Directory: D:/QNX641
         QNX_HOST: D:/QNX641/host/win32/x86
         QNX_TARGET: D:/QNX641/target/qnx6

I've some x86 and ppc targets .
When add new remote target in the 4.6 IDE, the IDE do not show it connected...manual refresh do not works at all. 
If i restart the IDE,it remains locked up, unresponsive and does not connect to the target(s).
The same target on IDE4.0 are fully working.

Do you run these IDE's on exactly same workspace? I am not sure what do you mean "remains locked up, unresponsive and 
does not connect to the target(s)."
For test can you create a new workspace in 4.0.1 and add you target there, exit it and use same workspace with 4.6?

IDEs's 4.0.1 and 4.6 are using separates workspaces.
The new target created in the 4.6 IDE simply remains inactive:
When I create a new target in the IDE, It is displayed as "disconnected",
also if it is active and connected to network.
(I've used some 6.3.1 and 6.4.0 targets)
If i restart the IDE, the IDE recognize the presence of target in the 
network, but it do not update its property , do not shows any
process and the IDE is locked (hourglass is shown  - IDE is not responding any more to keyboard or mouse).
I've done the same test creating a workspace in 4.0.1 with one
target (its works ok), then I've opend it with 4.6, but target is not working.
I've attached two images to explain.
I've noted that in 4.0.1 in the "preference"->"QNX"->"remote 
consoles" I can set the remote text console parameters:
 I've not found this item in the 4.6 menu.
Its seems to me that in the 4.6 version something related to network
configurations/parameter is changed or is missing....
Note that if I runs a 4.0.1 IDE and a 4.6 IDE (using different workspaces)
on the same Pc at the same time, the first one is able to shown me the target in the networks, whilst the 4.6 IDE no.
Any idea ?

I have not seen it before... Anything in IDE logs? It does not connect to ANY targets?
  Can you try maybe to install latest qconn patch for 6.3.2 (would work on 6.4.0 but not in 6.3.0)?

Elena, thanks for the quick answers....
I' found the problem (very stupid indeed) just now:
 From the "general"->"network connections"-> "Direct connection to 
internet".
(The ide was set in "Manual proxy configuration" , probaly it has taken the
networks pameters from the internet browser configuration).
The IDE must be restarted before change will be affective, it seems that
the "Apply" do not really apply the change...
This menu item setting do not exist in the 4.0.1 IDE version and I've never
take care of it before ....
