Request On Proposal - IDE Foundry27 integration
Following the open development spirit, I would like to ask the community to review the design document on a new feature
for the IDE - Foundry27 integration.

The overview of this feature is that it provides a way for the IDE users to easily check-out packages from F27 and
create build-able projects in the IDE. F27 packages include (but not limited to) source code, posted builds, BSPs.

The design doc is here:

http://community.qnx.com/sf/wiki/do/viewPage/projects.ide/wiki/F27IntegrationDesignDoc?showDetails=false

You are encouraged to comment on the doc and propose new idea to this feature. Any reply is welcome - eggs and tomatos
are not counted :-).

Nice ;-)

Is pksrc also on the radar for this?

How will you deal with 6.3.2 and 6.4.0 cross-compatibility or will this only be good for 6.4.0 ( gcc 4 ) stuff?

RE: Request On Proposal - IDE Foundry27 integration
Whatever we post to F27, technically speaking we should be able to
include it. It's the matter of defining the correct packaging structure
and the IDE project configuration.

Good question on the compatibility - I don't have the answer at this
time. Since this is a new feature for the next release I would assume we
will have the same support as the new release does but I can't guaranty
now.
