I have been using IDE4.0.1 on my host. Now i need the enhanced features such as application profiling,... i followed the
 instructions in this link
 http://community.qnx.com/sf/wiki/do/viewPage/projects.ide/wiki/Builds_Tau_Integration

but failed to update, it first popped up a window asking my username and password, then it said:"network connection 
problem". 
but i could login this link in my browser with my account.

Hi, Eric,

The instruction on the Tau update site is for the Tau release. You first need to download the Tau release zip file, 
unzip it, run the IDE then you can use the Tau update site to look for new features and plugins.

You can not use IDE 4.0.1 to update to Tau. This is not supported as the base components (Eclispe/CDT) are not 
compatible between these two releases.

actually i wanna make the ide look like this:

i have downloaded the tau edition, but it seemed that no installation needed on my XP host. and i didnot have the 
application profiler 2 as shown in the above link. Besides, i still could not update my tau ide as stated in my previous
 post. thx for your comments.

The IDE Tau download is a zip file, there is no need for an installer.

Are you using the latest Tau build (200807171037)? You will notice that the Application Profiler 2 has been renamed to 
Application Profiler. You can verify that you are running the new Application Profiler by looking for a view called "
Execution Time" which is new in the new AP.
