refresh of system perspective causes qconn to crash and the IDE connection breaks
I tried out 4.6 and 4.7 of IDE ( on my 6.4.1 development PC).
My target is QNX6.3.2 an I run the latest qconn.

I connect to my target and change to the system information perspective.
Now I select a process on the left tab and click on Process Information in the right tab.
-> the IDE shows some information and then a error popup comes up, telling me something of Java NULL pointers ( see
attached screenshot ).
After this, I cannot reconnect to the target anymore, even when reopening the IDE.
I telnet into the target and start qconn manually, but this doesn't seem to work
because it is telling me ☺q☺c☺o☺n☺n

I assembled a screenshot showing all the details.

Hope this information is usefull for you.
regards
Stefan

Which version of "qconn" are you running? You can do a "qconn -version" to get the version.

And since you are running 6.3.2, you need a version of qconn for 6.3.2. Did you download that from this link? http://

Hi Andy,
I run:

qconn -version tells me:
Qconn version 1.4.207944

Aha I didn't know this patch, but when I try to download, my browser says
permission denied, however I can open this link ( and I am registered and
logged in )

http://community.qnx.com/sf/frs/do/viewRelease/projects.ide/frs.binary_patches_for_ide.librcheck_632_compatible

Can you send me the qconn632 patch my email?

bye,
Stefan

Re: Antwort: RE: refresh of system perspective causes qconn to crash and the IDE connection breaks
Hi Andi,

thanks for the hint, this version of qconn has fixed my problem.

Now I have QNX641 with IDE 4.7 installed on my host and 6.3.2 with this qconn
on my target and all tabs of the system information perspective working stable.

Thanks,
Stefan
