Xen port to QNX - dom0 and domU
Hello
Beside the Qemu project, … what are the QNX guys thinking about a Xen port to QNX 6.x, - dom0 and domU. There are a lot
of Xen porting activities for several OSes around the world today, e.g. OpenSolaris, XEN port of the XNU kernel used by
Mac OS X and OpenDarwin, FreeBSD, Linux, NetBSD etc.

The dtrace was ported successfully, perhaps a Xen port is possible, too :-).
Thanks

Sorry about the delay in answering - I meant to respond to this last
week, but it got lost in a crush.

Anyhow, last time I looked at Xen (a year or two ago), the paravirtualizing
version required a reserved set of virtual addresses - the same set
that Neutrino also requires (for another purpose). That makes the
paravirtual version quite problematic to port.

With the version that makes use of some new hardware support to do full
virtualization we should be able to run as a domU, but I haven't heard
of anyone actually trying it. I haven't looked at the dom0 requirements
for that version either, so I don't know how much of a pain it would
be to support.
