Rebooting issues on a board with no PS/2 controller
We have a x86 board which is based on the Intel Atom US15W chipset. Our board does not have a PS/2 controller on it. It
seems that traditionally Operating Systems looks for a PS/2 controller to detect reboots. So we have some issues when we
try to reboot Operating Systems like Linux, QNX, etc. - the system freezes/hangs at the end of the reboot process. I
apologize I cannot describe the problem in more detail than this because that's the best I can describe.
For Linux, we can by-pass this reboot issue by passing the parameter reboot=bios to the kernel and the system reboots
fine.
However I don't know any equivalent of this parameter in QNX. Is there any other workaround to tell QNX that there is no
PS/2 controller so just force reboot anyways?
