Forum Topic - Re: debug or run 'hello world' program: (3 Items)

Re: debug or run 'hello world' program

I have a machine where I had installed Neutrino under windows 98. I have been supervising laboratory works on this
machine, since many years.

To deal with real time process control, I got a
'National Instruments'(ni) I/O card that could not be installed
on windows 9x. So the (ni) card is installed on a windows xp machine.

I installed momentics on windows xp to design real time control using the (ni) I/O card.

So, could I install Neutrino OS from Momentics, since the DOC. says that Momentics contains Neutrino and the IDE ? and
 How?

Else, is there a possibility to have Neutrino OS to install on windows xp machine, for academic use? (as it is for
Momentics)

   Thanks

RE: debug or run 'hello world' program
QNX Momentics is the development suite; if you install it on a Linux or
Windows host, you get the tools, libraries, and so on that you need to
develop applications to run on the QNX Neutrino RTOS. The wording in the
Download area is a bit inaccurate.

If you install QNX Momentics as a self-hosted Neutrino system (on a separate
machine, or in an empty partition on your Windows machine), you get the
tools, libraries, etc., and the OS itself. However, there's no way to run a
Neutrino application right on your Windows box.

Well you can run Neutrino on Windows in emulation program, such as VMWare
