I've created a partion 20 GB and tried to install the QNX RTOS on it with the file sytem 179 with the option F1 QNX boot
 loader but I get this message "unable to access /dev/hd0t179"

whereas Installing QNX RTOS on the virtual machine worked quite fine.

More details about your hardware would be helpful. Also, how far did the boot process go - did you see the message "
Press space..." ? If so, have you tried to disable DMA from there?

Finally, now that 6.5 is out, give it a try. The hardware support was much enhanced with this version.
