Windows Installation
I try to install the windows host version on my laptop. My laptop already have a SP3 + Core 6.3.2a on it, so I did an
uninstall first. I thought it all good, but looks like something still went wrong.

Now the 6.3.2 installer keeps telling me I have an previous installed, but there doesn't seems anything left for me to
uninstall. I have gone through the regedit but still no hint.

Any insight what is the installer looking at?
RE: Windows Installation
Xiaodan,

We've fixed this for 6.3.2, but for 6.3.0SP3 the uninstaller sometimes
doesn't clean up the metadata. If you have problems installing 6.3.2 due to
bits left over after uninstalling 6.3.0SP3 then there is a utility to get
into the corners and clean it up properly.

Look in the Utilities directory on the 6.3.2 CD. The "clean up" utility is
there for both windows and linux along with notes on usage.

Cheers,
Keith

Re: RE: Windows Installation
I'm having exactly the same problem, except the version I'm trying to install is 6.3.2A, which doesn't have the cleanup
program mentioned.

Is there anything I can do to remove the remnants of the previous install, given there's no trace of it on the system
(doesn't appear in control panel for example).
