Forum Topic - Pterms position: (3 Items)

Pterms position
When opening pterms, they automaticaly cascade. How does a pterm knows at what coordinates to go?

AW: Pterms position
The window manager knows. Default window placement policy
is to cascade (not only for pterm). You can provide -x and
-y options to pterm to specify the position explicitly.

If wm isn't running, pterms (and other windows) should by
default open up at (0,0).

I'm asking because I've seen cases ( custom made image ) where a pterm would open, but it's nowhere to be found. I could
see it in the task bar but that's it. I had to maximize it. Since I added -x0 -y0 that problem is gone. At first I
though it was a size issue but we open all our pterm with -g50x100.
