I just installed QNX 6.3.2 and Momentics 4.5
Now when I try to start Momentics the qde.exe process starts but ends before it gets to the workspace request screen

Any ideas on what would cause this?

I can't seem to find a log file.  I know that when eclipse dies, it usually creates one, but this time it isn't giving 
us any information.

We are running on Windows XP. 

When I do a java -version I get:

java version "1.5.0_03"

I have several java vms installed (two in the QNX632 directory, one for our automated testing software (IPL's Cantata++)
 and one that came with the tau release (the jre directory).

I'm wondering if the correct java vm is even being used by the tau release?

Below are my environment variables.

I can't think of anything else that might be helpful, so let me know if there is any other informaiton that might give 
me a clue as to what is going on.

One other tidbit, it will create a workspace folder (called ide-4.5-workspace) without promting.  It gets the org.
eclipse.core.resources and the org.eclipse.core.runtime folders created (in the .plugins folder along with version.ini 
and .lock ) but that is about it.

It may be java issue.
Run eclipse from console (instead of qde) with options -consolelog -debug
and check what it prints...

Is there a way to make the console stay up?  The splash screen appears , the debug window comes up, prints some text and
 then disappears.

And it is just dissapears after that? What is com.ipl.products plugin? I
don't think it is part of Tau.

Yes, it just stops at that point with java vm version discussed in the other post.

The com.ipl plugins are part of the Cantata++ testing software that is built on eclipse.

I just recalled that I linked the IPL Cantata++ plugins to Tau after I installed it.  It worked the first time, but 
after I closed the IDE and restarted, it wouldn't open.  So I didn't think about Cantatta, sorry abou the false alarm.

I ran Tau using 1.4.2 Java vm, disabled the plugins and ran using 1.5.0 Java vm.  It works fine now.

I need to inform IPL of our issues and need to communicate the version of CDT used in Tau.  Is there a way to export the
 plug-in names and versions into a text file or to the clipboard so I can email them this information?

If you do Help->About->Configuration Details it should list plugins, you can
copy this file to clipboard

Okay, I think we have it figured out and you may be able to use what we discovered.

4.5 Tau won't run on our maching with the jre provide with tau (java version 1.5.0_11-b03).  We have two installations 
of java version 1.5.0  (_03-b03 and _11-b03).  Neither will work with Tau.

It is running fine with Java version 1.4.2
