RE: Phindows - connection to remote host xxx terminated unexpectedly
It is possible that your target is not set up with all the required
components to start photon remotely. Can you connect to an already
running photon session, eg. /dev/photon? If so then your build file is
missing required items.
This topic has recently been documented, and I am attaching a draft of
the Phindows User Guide which contains this added information. Look at
the very end of the document for the chapter "Setting Up An Embedded
Target".
If for some reason you have difficulty getting the attachment, please
email me directly at mfeil@qnx.com.

Subject: Phindows - connection to remote host xxx terminated
unexpectedly
Hello,
I am unable to create a phindows session to make target (arm - i.MX25)
From the target Naviagtor, I right click on the target and select
"Launch remote Photon"
The Phindows windows appears (see screenshot) and it start connecting to
the target, until suddenly the error
"The connection to remote host 192.168.7.199 terminated unexpectedly.
You may be able to reconnect to Photon session /dev/ph69658 and continue
working."
appears.
I have my inet.d set up correctly for phrelay:
...
# Neutrino specific services
phrelay stream tcp nowait root /usr/bin/phrelay phrelay -x
Also, the etc/services has the entry
phrelay 4868/tcp
I am able to create a telnet session, and have even tried first manual
starting an instance of phrelay but this does not change the result.
Would appreciate any help
Thanks
Marcel
