issue with copying/ftp files in virtual environment
I have recently setup a virtual environment with four quest QNX 4.25 O/S and when I am trying to copy files between
NODES it errors out stating:

cp: write (//1///[filename]): Interrupted function call
cp: close (//1///[filename]): Bad file descriptor

When I FTP I get I get similiar results.....it just hangs and then finally times out.

Any assistance I can get to try and get this resolved would be great.

Hi Brad,

Please, send us output of following commands (from two QNX nodes):

# sin in > sin_in.txt
# sin ar > sin_ar.txt
# sin ver > sin_ver.txt
# netmap > netmap.txt
# netinfo -l > netinfo.txt

What is your virtual environment?

Re: issue with copying/ftp files in virtual environment
Oleg....

If I can asked another quick question............when I try and DITTO across
the virtual nodes I receive an error message that comes back and says "
rem_reply: sender in wrong state" and then in a few seconds says "PROC: lost
reply across net, freeing reply_blk local pid 00F6"

This is another issue I need to get resolved so not sure if both would be
related at all or not.

Let me know if you can.

Re: issue with copying/ftp files in virtual environment
Hi Brad,

I think that all issues depend on network.

It's only my assumption, but try to test all previous Net.e1000 drivers. The
driver was seriously updated. May be the old driver will work better on your
environment.

Re: issue with copying/ftp files in virtual environment
This sounds like something to do with your virtual environment as the
driver works just fine in a standalone environment. I run QNX4 under
VMWare Fusion on my Mac using bridged networking and it works perfectly.
The only difference is that VMWare Fusion uses the Net.ether2100 driver.
