The samsung DVD drive is mounting by default to /cd0. But the sony DVD(slim) type is not mounting. The device file is 
also not created in /dev.

You can try to manually mount them.  To do that, you should start the Iso 9660 filesystem with "-s" option (suppress 
scanning) and mount each drive separately.... like this:

Iso9660fsys -s &
mount_iso9660 /dev/cd0 /cd0
mount_iso9660 /dev/cd1 /cd1
