The older version of Phindows that you have should work fine under
Vista. 

There are new features in later versions of Phindows that you may wish
to take advantage of though. You can ask your QNX salesperson about the
"Phindows Standalone product", which is just Phindows by itself. 

Unfortunately there is currently no facility in Phindows to report on
screen events. What kind of events are you interested in? Phindows does
receive the full draw stream, so in theory it can check for events in
some detail.

P.S. The only known issues on Vista started with Phindows version 3.29
(a.k.a. 3.0.29 which is later than yours) and the double buffering
feature. There were performance problems noted by some users because
double buffering uses Direct3D, and is redundant if the Vista Aero
compositing is active. The workaround is to disable double buffering in
the Phindows menu (or using a command line option). Phindows does this
check automatically as of version 3.0.37, which means the issue is
resolved in Momentics 6.4.1 and the current Phindows Standalone Product
that coincides with 6.4.1.

I have a version of Phindows on my XP machine that seems to be dated
about 2004, from a 6.3 IDE that I installed probably around 2005. I
would like to install Phindows on a Vista Business Edition laptop, after
