pkgsrc project
Is it possible to create a pkgsrc project (its own project, not one in the bazaar)?

I'm in the middle of the merge back to NetBSD to add QNX support to pkgsrc. Hopefully this can become useful in their
pkgsrc-2007Q3 drop. I have a number of packages built internally against their pkgsrc-2007Q2 tag but things have moved
along on their HEAD and help would be appreciated with the update.

If such a project were created I guess I'd need to start by posting the diffs against NetBSD's pkgsrc-2007Q2 and HEAD
tags along with an archive with the updated / missing utilities this whole process has uncovered so that people could
start building.

The issue I'm wrestling with currently is that the gnu m4 package has been updated to 1.4.10 in the pkgsrc HEAD and
they've brought in fpurge(). freading() from gnulib.

RE: pkgsrc project
Everything is possible! :-)

As per the FAQ
(http://community.qnx.com/sf/wiki/do/viewPage/projects.community/wiki/FAQ)
please post your project proposals to the QCMG (qcmg_at_qnx.com)

   Thanks

Re: pkgsrc project
I think this is a crucial project to have. It becomes the enabler for a lot of other easy to compile programs and as
such deserves the visibility and notice it will get as a stand alone project.

As an aside, I am dividing it projects into two categories. Simple port it and be done projects - especially the ones
which tend to "work" right out of the box, probably just belong in the bazaar. Other projects, where there is more
active QNX development, and QNX specific features which aren't in the main source line, probably deserve thier own
project here.

I know the automated process isn't in place yet, but I think it is important that we demonstrate how we think this will
work when it is in place. This may mean a little more work for those at QSS, but I think it is a good thing (tm). ;-)
