I understand and I don't know how the sources are organized.

But maybe it will be enough to see and to check function which is responsible for setting graphics mode.

As you know there is one method to get rid of all black lines:
"Just switch to graphics console nr 2 and back (Ctrl+Alt+2; Ctl+Alt+1)".

Perhaps it is possible to add similar "refresh mechanism" into the Pg.i830... ?

Hi Jacek,

As far as I know there is no specific "refresh mechanism" in the driver. 
You see the result of several driver calls from upper layer after switch 
to another graphics console.

I need your (or similar) hardware to reproduce and fix this issue.

Hello Oleg,

Now that I have read this thread, the problem that I saw this morning was exactly as described here.  Black lines 
through the display with the latest driver.  This happened when I was changing to 16 bit color from 32 bit color.

Our device ID is 3582h

Thanks for your reply. I have asus laptop with 0x3582 device. I'll try to 
fix this issue.
