When do you plan to release the Net.e1000 as a not experimental version ?

Where can I find description of this driver ?

Regards,
Jacek
RE: RE: The Intel 82575 Giga bit Lan
I have no idea when it will be released. You will have to contact your
sales rep to find out.

This driver supports all the Intel gigabit Ethernet chipsets.

Re: RE: RE: The Intel 82575 Giga bit Lan
Hello,

We have tried this driver with 82575 (DeviceID 10a7) and it is not working.
driver output:
# Net.e1000 -d 10a7 -vv
Net.i82540: proc_fun = e0:0a69
Net.i82540: vidbuf_inuse = e8:4bf4
e1000_set_mac_type
find_mac_type failed
loc_i82540 failed

We have also tried this driver with 82571 (DeviceID 10a5). The driver works and has only slight problem.
If the port is not connected to anything at start-up then link reported in "netinfo -l" is 100Mbs HDX. However the link
is updated correctly after connecting/disconnecting cable to/from the port.

Have you tried running TCP/IP? This looks like a problem with the node
not being in the netmap file.

The 000423 ADD2ED was the only node in the netmap and it was the one we tried to communicate to and it was reachable and

Since FLEET was not working, we did not event tried tcpip.

I have looked at the code and can see no reason for the FIFO overruns.
Is it possible for you to send us this hardware?

Hi Hugh et al,

I was wondering if this issue was resolved and whether this Supermicro board is now known to work? Are there changes in
the 6.4.1 driver which might alleviate the problem?

Thanks,

No, we didn't get this hardware, so the problem wasn't resolved.

Hello, when you say it will support all Intel Gig chipsets, do you truely mean ALL? I am just now building a new
embedded system and I have to move to the 82574L. Cannot move forward until I have a 6.4 driver that works with this
chipset.

Is this for QNX4 or QNX6? You mention 6.4 in the post, but you have
posted under the QNX4 community.
