Why does idle telnet session get disconnected?   
We are having a problem with our telnet sessions. If they are "untouched" for a period of time (sometimes a couple of 
minutes or fewer) the telnet session is disconnected. ¿Can I configure the telnetd or TCPIP in such way to avoid this 
problem? We are using QNX 4.25e and TCP/IP 5.0. I thanks for any help. Victor

Are you telnetting between 2 QNX machines or from QNX to another O/S? Which end is terminating the telnet session, the 
client or the server?

I have had telnet running on my QNX4 machine for over 30 minutes and it is still connected. I am telnetting between my 
QNX4 machine and a QNX6 machine.

Hi Hugh, thanks for the help.
We are using the client telnet on Windows machines (netterm) to connect to QNX4 which is the server side of the telnet. 
I really don't know which side is disconnecting.

I would suspect that the Windows side is disconnecting, as I have tried
telnet under QNX4 and it doesn't disconnect.
