The QNX Software Development Platform which includes the QNX Neutrino RTOS and QNX Momentics Tools Suite - version 6.4.1 - the General Availability release is now available for download.

QNX Neutrino RTOS version 6.4.1

New OS features include:

• ARM Cortex A8 (ARMv7 architecture) support
• Freescale e500 Core Signal Processing Extensions support - foundation for all QorIQ line of processors
• MIPS processor support
• Interrupt to thread latency jitter improvement
• BIND9 - most up-to-date version of BIND9 is ported.
• io-net legacy driver migration documentation
• File systems:
  • read-only Apple HFS+
  • read-only Microsoft NTFS
  • ETFS retires bad blocks automatically in driver, adds support for cross-endian QNET connection
• Core Graphics
  • OpenKode compliant composition manager - adds standards-based graphical layering to QNX Core Graphics
  • WebKit-based web browser engine - high performance embeddable web browser

QNX Momentics Tools Suite version 6.4.1
The tools suite introduces:

• Eclipse 3.4, CDT 5.0
• Foundry27 integration
• GCC Mudflap visualization
• GCC 4.3.3
• GDB 6.8, binutils 2.19

The Foundry27 projects that form part of the software development platform version 6.4.1 are:

Much of the new technology available in the 6.4.1 release has been made available via these Foundry27 projects. The alpha download includes these projects in a complete installable package.

Downloading and Installing the GA Software Development Platform version 6.4.1 Software#

Go to to the QNX Download Center to retrieve the binary installers for 6.4.1. Select the download appropriate for your host system. Note the Neutrino self-hosted installer comes in ISO format and will require burning to a CD or some ISO mounting software to use. The Windows and Linux installers are installer executables that can be downloaded and run to install 6.4.1. You can re-use your existing QNX Momentics 6.3.0 or 6.3.2 license for installing and running this alpha software.
