What's new in IDE 4.7?#

Platform#

• Eclipse 3.5 (See What is New in Eclipse 3.5)
• CDT 6.0 (See What is New in CDT 6)
  • Added group launch - allows to launch several processes at the same time

General#

• IDE now allows to re-target to use tools from previous releases (such as 6.4.0). You can either use per-workspace IDE settings or use env variables to re-target.
• Support for arm-v7 variant
• QNX C/C++ projects can now use relative paths (e.g., ../../path/to/dir for extra includes paths and library search paths
• New QNX C/C++ Project wizard does now have working set selection

Memory Analysis#

• Added two view to show Memory Problems and Memory Traces (instead of previous control in editor)
• Added more filtering and grouping capabilities for Problems and Traces

System Information and Target Management#

• Target File System Navigator has a control that shows full file path

System Profiler#

• New statistics introduced for running, ready and blocked time (sum)
• Users can specify how the data for user events are extracted and displayed
