About This Reference

The Multimedia Developer's Guide is intended for developers who wish to:

• use the QNX plugins that are available with the Media Player and Voyager Browser.
• write their own plugins to work with the Media Player.

You need hardware with an FPU for MPEG decoding because floating-point emulation is too slow. We don't currently support a fixed-point MPEG audio decoder.
