Subject: Async Messaging vs Database Write

I'm inquiring about the pros and cons of using QNX's async messaging interface (http://www.qnx.com/developers/docs/6.3.2/neutrino/technotes/async_messaging.html) v.s writing to a sqlite3 db. The data which is passed is relatively small. Overall what would be the most efficient solution considering persistence and integrity of data. Thank you in advanced.
