OS Status Meeting Minutes

Steve Bergwerff

• Important Trinity 2 dates to be aware of:
  • Currently testing M5 build. M6 build is TBD.

Brian Stecher

• Away most of last week. Was back in the office on Friday.
• Testers so far unable to reproduce Trinity2 PR 55248 with additional debug coded added. Provided three separate versions so far. Waiting to hear back on the third. This is for thread not getting woken up due to what appears to be a corrupted sync object waiting list.
• This week continuing to work on Trinity 2 PR 53972 for applications crashing with SIGBUS. Have this narrowed down to an issue with the customer’s linker not responding properly to instructions in mkifs.

Mike Kisel

• Not in attendance this week.

Attilla Danko

• Not here this week.

Colin Burgess

• Was away last week.
• Provided a fix for priority support PR 55141 for priority inversion.
• Will be focusing this week on Trinity 2 PRs.

• Continuing work on performance analysis. Last week acquired a 4G machine to analyze a 20 minute trace file taken during boot up. Found some interesting results from looking at this such as long periods of cpu idle time.

• Last week working on an issue with experimental code for SH SMP. Had discovered that the issue was in the variable page size code for Trinity2. Found and fixed the problem.
• Started work on priority support PR 55105. Provided customer with explanation of what was seen and asked some further questions in order to investigate further.

• Working on Trinity 2 special customer source drop. Customer reported a crash on the weekend. Currently investigating.
• Working on two customer reported issues for Trinity 2.
  • PR 54902 for a memory depletion issue. Customer re-implemented a change that they had accidentally backed out. This resolved the issue.
  • PR 54903 for a reported crash seen under low memory conditions.

David Joo

• Continued work on getting code coverage numbers from current test suite.

• Last week provided a fix for PR 55013 for crash using ramdisk with devb-eide. This week making sure the change is checked into the appropriate branches.
• Working on project to post file system code on F27.

Angelina Gomes

• Currently working on OS and IDE documentation.
• Completed documentation for PR51258 for floating point function.
• Completed most of the updates to system architecture guide to be in sync with the AP guide.

Sunil Kittur (not in attendance)

• Working on adding e500 support in Trinity2.
• Providing assistance to BSP team for Kaleidoscope demo.
