The System Profiler perspective provides a Filters view which allows you filter which owners (processes and threads) and
 events appear in the Timeline and other System Profiler panes and views.

When working with the Timeline, it's often advantageous to hide the processes and threads that aren't relevant to your 
investigation. To quickly filter owners without having to use the Filters view, simply select one or more owners and 
press the DEL key.
