The online QNX help says: "The libspi-master library provides an interface to mediate access to the SPI master." However
 I can't seem to find the file anywhere after numerous greps.

The hardware is based on the IMX6 SabreLite board.

Please have a look into the prebuilt directory of your BSP if you have not yet done so.

I have the same problem on v6.6 ... it's NOT in the prebuilt area and it's not built
