i82544   
With the i82544 driver from Network Patch 630-SP3-0685, when I run nicinfo it reports a Current Operating Rate of 

unknown half-duplex.

Yet the operation is 1G full-duplex ( confirm by the switch ).  The previous driver was reporting that information 
correctly.

If you unplug the network cable and the plug it in again, does nicinfo show the correct link speed?
