iPods are resetting frequently, for no apparent reason.
Answer
iPods have a tendency to reset if you do not use the -c option when you start io-usb.
Change your startup to start io-usb with the -c option. With this option selected, the launcher application selects the 
device configuration to use, instead of just using the device's first configuration.

Hi,

I had a same reset problem for 1st Gen iTouch, even with the usage of -c option for io-usb. Finally, I found the problem
 was causing by the usb port which connected to the iPod was not powerful enough for driving this kind of iPod. Attached
 an additional power supply for the usb port solved the problem. Just share the info.
