With a C/C++ project with our own makefiles, every time I lauch a make I get 

Error launching external scanner info generator (gcc -E -P -v -dD  ... )

I tried disabling the Automated discovery of paths and symbols in the project setting but to no avail.

I've seen in other post that it's about the platform not being defined but since this is C/C++ project and not a QNX 
project that doesn't apply does it?

What is toolchain for these projects and what IDE version is it?

RE: external scanner info generator

6.4.0 configured to use 6.3.2. The tool chain ( as seen in the tool chain editor ) is QNX QCC. The builder is GNU Make 
Builder.  If I click on the "Select Tools button" in the Tool chain editor , the Used tools windows shows QCC Compiler 
and QCC Assembler in red, with the error message "Tool is incompatible with the current configuration"

Could not reproduce your problem. Could you please send you makefile.. 
Also interesting to know the content of your Environment and Variables 
(check Show System Variables) pages?

I attached the .* files/directory as well as the makefile related stuff.

As for the Show System Variable, anyway to export them, there are LOTS of variable.  I did my best by capturing a screen
 shot.
