For x86 the release note says the max number of cores is 8, but the documentation, in the system limit sections says it's 8. I assume the release note are right?
What is the difference between 8 and 8? release note is correct. For 6.5.0 and later, 32 (logical) cores are supported (logical == combination of SMT and CPU cores) On 08/16/2011 11:15 AM, Mario Charest wrote: > > Oops. I've already corrected the docs (after some guy named Mario pointed out the error earlier this year). No, we don't update those docs. The docs in the next release will include the correction. You can only have 16 cores if you have PAE disabled.
