What could make realpath resolve the following path:

/net/controller.gradexpert.comact/home/comact/br10_5_0_png/systemcfg

To:

/net/controller.gradexpert.comact/net/controller.gradexpert.comact/home/comact/br10_5_0_png/systemcfg

Notice the /net/... is there twice.

The same program started twice at various stage of a shell scripts behaves differently. I'm currently trying to find 
some sort of logic behind the behavior. So far nothing.
