Intel 82541PI GbE   
We will upgrade the hardware of our project and the new NIC is the Intel 82541PI GbE, i have been checking with the PCI 
Vendor Database and it says that the device ID is the 0x107c, but i cant be sure because i still dont  have the new 
hardware.

Do you think that Net.i82540 driver would work for this device??

There is a newer driver which supports all the Intel gigabit adapters
(Net.e1000). I have attached a copy of this driver together with the
latest netinfo.
