Install QNX4 on Kontron nanoETXexpress (Intel Atom)
Got a nanoETXexpress StarterKit, boot QNX4 from USB CD ROM, but cannot install. Mouse / Keyboard do not work, although I
have switched on USB Legacy Emulation (it works fine to install QNX 6). Serial Mouse is not detected. I'm using latest
2008 CD.

Has anyone else tried to run QNX4 on a system without PS2 and maybe without USB legacy emulation? What else can I do?

Hi Malte,

First thing.
If you try to install QNX4 from USB CD ROM on system with PS/2 port then O/S installer will fail as well. Simply this is
just because installer doesn't handle USB interface, QNX4 boot CD doesn't start USB stack and additional drivers...

For systems without standard floppy drive and CD ROM we have created
custom QNX4 installer located on USB stick. It works fine but we didn't test it on machine without PS/2 port yet.

Assuming I think that it will be possible to install QNX4 on such machine,
indeed not from installation CD.

Does QNX4 support ATOM platform ?
What is about drivers for Filesystem, Network and Graphics controller ?

Jacek

Small update.

I have tried our "USB installer" on system without PS/2 port.
It works fine!! All what you need is USB Keyboard (USB mouse optionally) and USB stick with installer.

Give me drivers for ATOM and work is done...

(bump)

I'm trying to install QNX on my ASUS EEE PC900 . I used a USB CD-ROM. The install program runs, but insists on a hard-
wired CD-ROM.

Where is the USB-Stick Installer? I might be able to use that.
