I just loaded the latest VMWare Player update (3.1.4 build-385536) and now QNX no longer autodetects the USB drive.  The
 synopsis of the update mentioned enhanced USB support.  The USB support was very important to my project as I was using
 a virtual QNX machine to burn bootable compact flash drives via a USB card reader.  If someone figures out a solution 
before I do, please post it.  Otherwise, don't upgrade when VMWare player prompts you.
