Okay, one more error and I'll stop hogging the forum
When trying to run make form a windows command line I get the attached error.

Where is the cygwin1.dll supposed to be located and what version should I have?

Thanks
Kevin

Do you have more than one cygwin in your path? 6.3.2 uses
cygwin-1.5.24-2 and it should be located in $QNX_HOST/usr/bin/

If you have more than one, you should only use the latest as cygwin
maintains backwards compatibility but not forwards compatibility.

Good question. Would be nice to know which one is being picked up. I'm searching for all cygwin dlls and seeing what I
 find.

That would mean being able to see into the future. If that ever happened, we'd run out of software to develop.

You'll likely find a second older cygwin dll in
$QNX_HOST/usr/photon/bin. It is used only for phab for windows but since
it's not in the path it shouldn't be loaded (unless you added it to your
path).

:D

The error you're seeing happens when the cygwin application had been
built against a newer version of cygwin than the one loaded. It's
versionitis for sure.

Does it use the PATH var to find cygwin1.dll?

Looks like my DxDesigner (Mentor Graphics tool) has a bunch.

Windows has different modes for loading dlls (safe, unsafe?) but both
search the PATH as a last resort. I think in both modes Windows looks in
the applications directory, then the current directory, then a bunch of
system directories and finally it searches the PATH.

Fixed. Mentor was the culprit. Seems to run with the new DLL just fine.

Thanks for your help

Hey Mario,

Nope...I can't stand to see myself in the mirror, why would I want anyone else to look at me?

:)
