Launch menu missing

Hello all,
QNX 6.4, X86 board.

When i booted with the custom image, after booting up...there is no "Launch" menu seen in the bottom left corner, also 
the shelf is empty, could anyone guide me how to add these features and configure?

I am new to QNX, please help.
