At the build system level there is some rudimentary support for autoconf packages, but it is undocumented.  As Elena 
notes, the quality of the results depends chiefly on how well the package itself supports cross-compiling.

Without cross-platform you have to have self-hosted installation of SDP, then you can do it maybe. Are you trying to 
port samba too?
