I have been able to compile and create an executable for gdb-9.2 for qnx 7.1 running on x86_64 architecture and whenever
 it runs it does not segfault but it also does not run properly. It exits after not recognizing x86_64 qnx as a 
supported gdb architecture. 

Does anyone have any insight on what may need to be done in order to add support for a new gdb architecture specific for
 qnx?
