does someone know when gcc 4.5 will be available for QNX?

There will be an update to the toolchain (gcc, binutils and gdb) in the 
next SDP release. There will be experimental versions available on the 
foundry before the release.

I'm looking forward to the improved C++0x support as well as the improved debugging with GCC 4.5+ and GDB 7.2.

If the next SDP release is more than three months from now I think I'll be disappointed if it doesn't come with GCC 4.6.
1, which will probably have been released by then.

any news on gcc 4.5 and Momentix 6.5.xxx? I would really need lambda expressions implemented and hope they are available
 asap...

Andreas I have compiled under QNX 6.5.0 new versions of gcc, gcc-4.5, gcc 4.6.1 and gcc 7.0.
For now I'm having trouble with the gnat compiler. Therefore, not yet added a new compiler on my page www.ajam.org.pl. 
If you want to do test c, c++, fortran, objc, objc++ from one of these compilers please contact with me.

Greetings mate,

I would like to give gcc 4.6.0 a shot (and I hope that the QNX dev team will asap publish a working toolchain). I do 
just need to compile c and c++ and would be thrilled to be given an opportunity for testing. I will check your homepage 
to get in touch with you, hoping I will find an email address there.

Now I made the compiler gcc4.5.3/g++4.5.3 and GNAT GPL2011 available on my website www.ajam.org.pl.
Now I prepare the compiler in the version 4.6.1  for QNX

On www.ajam.org.pl I put gcc compiler based on Foundary72 sources in the version 4.6.1. 
There are compilers c++, ada, objc, objc++ and fortran in the version 4.6.1

How do you do to keep the same environment 6.5.0 and use a newer version of gcc? I am using currently the gcc4.4.2 the 
version that came with the 6.5.0 package but would like to update to a newest version of gcc. I have found on Foundry27 
a tar file for nto-gcc-4.6.2 but don't know how to "hook" it to the 6.5.0 environment?

After installation, you can for example compile for x86 with GCC 4.6.2 with:
QCC -V4.6.2,gcc_ntox86

You can add -set-default to the above to set it as the default. See the documentation for QCC.
