Forum Topic - Qt image for Beagle xM: Page 1 of 9 (9 Items)

Qt image for Beagle xM
Attached is a bootable SD card image for Beagle xM (armle-v7) including the two
Qt examples "cEasy" and "qTstat" (source posted elsewhere on this forum).

The video is configured for 800x600 (HDMI or DVI) with a usb mouse for input.

Beagle xM boots from a FAT32 SD card. To use the SD image:

       1) Obtain an SD card. (Any size should do - the image is small)
       2) Plug the SD card into Windows and format the card FAT32.
       3) Unzip sd.zip (using folder names) to the root of the SD card.
       4) Attach a serial cable to the beagle (115200,8,1,n).
       5) Put the SD card in the beagle and it should autoboot on reset.
         The screen will remain blank.
       6) Enter the command "cEasy" on the serial port. After 7-8 seconds
         the app should appear.
       7) For the other application, simply enter "qTstat".

As a side note, you can run "egl-gears-lite -layer=2 -width=200 -height=200"
and its graphic will "overlay" any Qt app. This illustrates QNX "composite"
screens using h/w layers.

The SD image contains all the Qt-specific files and libraries. The SD card
is mounted at root, extending the filesystem created by the IFS. The SD card
must remain in place during a session for full functionality!

If you run "hogs -n -%2 -t1", you can see that CPU utilization for qTstat
is 3-4%... and much less for cEasy,
