disktrap for the 2015 release
Hi:

I am using the AHCI driver with 2015 release. Normally we use disktrap in the product install.

Is there an updated disktrap that detects AHCI and runs the correct driver?

Thanks,
Andy

Hi Andy,

The disktrap utility isn’t updated for AHCI controllers. Try to launch Fsys.ahci without options.

Respectfully,
Oleg

Oleg:

Thanks for the reply. We have two models of hardware (ide & sata) and a single product in stall er CD. We are hoping to
have that one installer successfully install, no matter which hardware its run on. if disktrap isn't going to do the
job, can you recommend and alternate method?

Thanks,
Andy

Hi Andy,

Sorry for the delay with my answer. We will look at dsiktrap, but it may take a time. As an alternate method you can
develop utility that checks controller type (by PCI ID for example) and launches required driver. I guess this method is
a simple solution in case of two models of hardware.
