IPv4 router alert option
Is the IPv4 Router Alert option (rfc 2113) supported in QNX 6.4 ? I can see that ipv6 router alert is handled, but
could't find the former.

If 2113 is not supported, is there any workaround for the l3 protocols to be intimated of packets with the router alert
option.

thanks.

We don't currently do anything special with this option.

If it's part of a multicast packet (which seems to be common usage)
it looks like you can get it by joining the appropriate multicast
group.

Re: IPv4 router alert option
Thanks Sean but we are working with unicast packets (RSVP PATH message).

Is there any possibility of QNX adding this to the TCP/IP stack in the near future ?

This is the first time it's come up so it's not on any
roadmap but anything's possible.
