RE: devnp-ural.so
Ah yes... I'd somehow missed that you're on an SH platform. OK. We've only
ever used the driver on x86 and ARM, so you'll be exploring new ground here.

Ideally, you'd download the code base, re-build everything and then add in
that variant yourself to try out (by adding in an sh/dll.le directory under
the sys/dev/ural directory and copying in the Makefiles (as is) from the
relevant places of one of the other variant directories). Given that I know
where you are in terms of timing, I'll build you a binary and send it to you
off line. Fingers crossed.

Now I get io-pkt running under 6.3.0 sh-le platform. After I did "io-pkt-v4-hc -d /proc/boot/devnp-ural.so", following
are what I see in slog
Time Sev Major Minor Args
Jan 01 05:02:51 5 14 0 tcpip starting
Jan 01 05:02:51 3 14 0 Using pseudo random generator. See "random" op
tion
Jan 01 05:02:51 5 14 0 initializing IPsec... done
Jan 01 05:02:51 5 14 0 IPsec: Initialized Security Association Process
ing.
Jan 01 05:02:52 2 14 0 Unable to init /proc/boot/devnp-ural.so: No suc
h device or address

Also, seems like I don't have permission to download the source code form this page. It keeps telling me that "
permission denied" :-(

Sounds like the driver didn't detect a device it knows about.
What device / chipset are you trying?

I've you've registered on the foundry, going to the 'source
code' section of the networking project should present you
with the appropriate svn command.

RE: devnp-ural.so
Kelei and I sorted this out by phone. It turns out that there's a magic
little switch on the side of these devices that needs to be place in the
"not on the dot" position for the device to be properly configured to act as
a WiFi dongle. That only took about 3 hours to figure out :>

He he. Been there. Is it a 'buffalo' :)

RE: devnp-ural.so
That's the one! AirStation Wireless-G. Guess that the other setting let's
you use it as a mass storage device. We we're figuring that the
manufacturer had done the usual magic trick of changing the chipsets without
any changes on the external markings. Luckily not so :>
