Sperodic crash on Dell Optiplex SX280
Hi,

Our customer has purchased few Dell Optiplex SX280 computers to run the software (QNX 6.3.0 SP3 with patches/630SP2-0284
/target/qnx6/x86/boot/sys/procnto). However two of three computers crash some 10 minutes after they are started.

It looks like the problem is located in network driver (devn-tigon3.so is used for that hardware), as they tried to
setup communication over the serial port and after the machine dropped off the netword it still continued to send data
via serial connection.

Also "Crash[0,0] at kerext_process line 240" message display was reported.

They have tried disabling all the devices they could in the BIOS but that did not help.

Could it be be anything known?

Here is 'pci -v' output for your reference

RE: Sperodic crash on Dell Optiplex SX280
I seem to recall some fixes to devn-tigon.so -
the BCM57xx is pretty complicated - that Hugh
has made in the last year or two. Perhaps you
could try a trunk-compiled driver?

Well, I could, if you could make a build for 6.3.0. :">
RE: RE: Sperodic crash on Dell Optiplex SX280
I'll bet Hugh already has one on his hard disk :)

You're thinking of a QNX4 driver, surely! ;-)
