Is it compatible with the raw socket interface ?? --Armin
Hi Armin: The recommended mechanism for accessing raw packets in io-pkt is through the use of the BPF interface. In addition to the io-pkt docs in the doc set, there's also our networking wiki page hosted here: http://community.qnx.com/sf/wiki/do/viewPage/projects.networking/wiki/Ho mePage The BPF interface is documented here: http://community.qnx.com/sf/wiki/do/viewPage/projects.networking/wiki/Fi ltering_wiki_page (See the section towards the end where we point to some web based reference docs) Robert. -----Original Message----- From: Armin Steinhoff [mailto:community-noreply@qnx.com] Sent: Friday, October 17, 2008 9:22 AM To: general-networking Subject: Re: documentation of the raw packet interface of QNX 6.4 Is it compatible with the raw socket interface ?? --Armin _______________________________________________ General http://community.qnx.com/sf/go/post15143

Do we have a new raw ethernet packet interface for QNX6.4 ?? Best Regards --Armin

It's BPF. BPF wasn't officially supported in 6.3. -seanb
Hi Armin: The BPF interface for 6.3 was only partially implemented. It was read only and not shipped as part of general product. The fully supported BPF interface is the new raw packet interface for 6.4.0. It's also been updated from the latest NetBSD source, so is more compliant with the existing code base.
